When to Use Speech Mode
- Prepared speeches and public addresses
- Presentations and slide-deck narration
- Oral arguments and moot court
- Prepared talks and keynotes
- Any persuasive piece intended to be heard rather than read
How to Run It
1
Choose Speech Mode
In the Studio, set the draft type to Speech.
2
Pick a Depth
Choose Surface for a fast pass on the biggest clarity and pacing issues, or Medium for a full audit that covers hook strength, signposting, credibility, memorable lines, and a complete revision path.
3
Paste and Run
Paste your script or prepared remarks into the draft field and run Fracture. The report streams in as it is built.
What It Prioritizes
- Hook and opening — whether you earn the audience’s attention in the first thirty seconds
- Audience clarity and the persuasive arc from start to finish
- Organization, signposting, and transitions so listeners always know where they are
- Pacing, pauses, and emphasis — the spoken rhythm that keeps an audience engaged
- Credibility and the placement of stories and examples
- Memorable lines the audience carries with them after the room empties
- A clear call to action the audience knows how to act on
The Audience Friction Point
In Speech mode, the report’s load-bearing field becomes the Audience Friction Point — the moment a listener is most likely to lose the thread — instead of a debate-style collapse point. This is the speech-mode equivalent of the collapse point: the single moment where confusion, boredom, or a credibility gap is most likely to break the audience’s trust in what you are saying. Fixing the Audience Friction Point typically has the largest single effect on how much of your message survives the delivery. How Opponent Attacks Compare
Opponent attacks are secondary in Speech mode. A live audience is not a cross-examiner — they cannot interrupt, they hear each sentence only once, and they decide in real time whether to keep listening. That means listener doubts, confusion, boredom, and credibility gaps are the primary risks the report flags, not the formal logical vulnerabilities that Argument mode would emphasize.Speech Mode vs. Argument Mode
